Lead-safety Message: There’s no safe level of lead in the body except zero so adults need to protect us kids from lead in paint, lead acid battery recycling emissions and lead-contaminated water. Prevention starts with awareness.

Lead-safety Message: As in every other country, Filipino Lead Studies have found that tiny lead particles in dust and soil are inhaled and ingested then absorbed and affect brain development of children.

Lead-safety Message: With the reframing of the huge health and environmental impacts of lead, and audacious funding support, a Lead Safe World is truly “in the frame” to happen in time to also save the world from climate disaster!

Artists: Green Range and Lead Pro Aus
Lead-Safety Message: Green Range and Lead Pro Aus operate as complimentary companies focused on protecting shooting range environments across Australia. Green Range specialises in environmental infrastructure and range management solutions. Lead Pro Aus works alongside these systems by providing specialist lead recovery and environmental remediation services.

Lead-safety Message: Cattails (reeds) act as bio-sorbents that absorb lead from contaminated wastewater and soil, with higher concentrations accumulating in the roots compared to leaves. This capacity makes them effective for phytoremediation in wetlands, though it means they can accumulate heavy metals, posing a potential environmental contamination source.

Lead-safety Message: Both Hummingbird feathers and Seahorses are good lead bioindicators because both live in limited moving ranges and bioaccumulate local lead pollution. Hummingbirds get lead from nectar and small insects, whereas Seahorses get lead from crustacea like shrimps. Microplastics in the ocean might also increase the bioaccumulation of heavy metals by Seahorses.

Lead-safety Message: Another global warming and lead connection: During droughts, shrinking water holes can concentrate heavy metals like lead. As water levels fall, elephants are forced to consume sediment, mud, and water with high concentrations of contaminants.

Lead-safety Message: Because Seahorses are generally poor swimmers and inhabit coastal areas, they are highly vulnerable to pollutants like lead which causes deformities and population decline. Don’t let lead enter stormwater, rivers or the ocean.
