Lead-safety Message: Both acid reflux and a rising blood lead level are very common as we age, but fortunately, eating smaller meals more frequently throughout the day and night, can reduce acid reflux and also reduce absorption of any lead that happens to be in your food. “Gastrointestinal absorption of soluble lead salts in adult humans can be high during fasting (40-50%), but is about 3-15% when ingested with food.”

Lead-safety Message: I dreamed a dream that every national leader set a sunset date for the phase-out in their country of leaded AvGas-using propellor planes, and provided incentives for all pilot schools and propellor plane owners to replace their old planes with electric planes powered by solar power.

Lead-safety Message: On In Hanoi, these delightful Vietnamese people showed me how to make Pho and Hanoi Spring Rolls, around the pungent but desirable durian fruits hanging in their courtyard. Even when growing in lead contaminated soil, fruit trees don’t put lead in their fruits.

Lead-safety Message: On my trip to Vietnam I was absolutely delighted to meet the people, to see the beautiful green water of Halong Bay where many fish are caught, to take a boat ride in caves at Trang An and to find the cooked frogs on sticks – a local delicacy – at Hoi An Night Market. Plentiful fish and fat frogs are good indicators of lead-safe waterways.

Lead-safety Message: When I asked how best to test these ceramic items for lead, The LEAD Group’s Lead Advisor, Grandma Lead, advised that a DetectLead Kit from Fluoro-Spec Inc in the US would work well or if I drink or eat acidic, hot or alcoholic things from any of them regularly, I could test the liquid for lead with a LEAD Group Posted Kit or I could just ask my GP for a blood lead series to get free testing.

Description of Work: Poster inviting NGOs to express their interest in receiving email updates and invitations to meetings of the Chemicals Action for Children’s Health Informal Group, convened by the Chemicals and Waste Youth Platform in the lead up to the Global Framework on Chemicals First International Conference (GFC IC-1), November 16 to 20, 2026 in Geneva, Switzerland.

Lead-safety Message: Between the ages of 35 and 69 when trying every lead detox food and supplement I could buy, I reduced my blood lead level by 72% from 7.5 ug/dL to 2.1 ug/dL when most women’s lead typically rises between menopause and death. But from age 69 to 70 when I added FeEDTA daily bread to my breakfast and lunch, I reduced my blood lead level by a further 71% from 2.1 to 0.6 ug/dL, or by 92% from 1991 when I co-founded The LEAD Group. No wonder I want to make it possible for everyone to eat FeEDTA daily baked goods so you too can be enlivened as by water drops from a sprinkler!
