Lead-safety Message: Just as Gryposuchus waits on the sidelines until Dilophosaurus has grown closer and closer, oral EDTA chelation has been around for 70 years and only now is poised to conquer lead poisoning globally – if only biscuit-makers and bread-bakers would come to the party and add this iron fortificant to commercially available foods that kids and adults like to eat daily. And in the background, lead-safety advocates will still be fighting to reduce lead emissions and make a circular economy for all lead products.
