Lead-safety Message: In the old days, “lead pencils” had lead in them and the pigments in yellow, orange, red, green and brown pencil cores were lead pigments and lead paint was used on the outside too but now lead is strictly limited in and on what we still call “lead” (but is actually graphite) pencils and coloured pencils.
