Lead-safety Message: Lucerne in Switzerland is an afternoon’s walk from the village of Malters where Hug AG produced the EDTA biscuits that were eaten by Moroccan pre-schoolers and school-aged children in the study by Bouhouch et al, apparently bringing down their blood lead levels and raising their iron status. Why aren’t EDTA biscuits available globally?
